About This Site
This is the official home of Dwayne McDuffie, co-creator of the Emmy Award and Humanitas Prize winning cartoon, STATIC SHOCK and co-owner of Milestone Media, Inc., the most successful black-owned comic book company in history. In addition to talking about myself in the third person, I was also a Writer/Producer for the Cartoon Network series JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED. I'm currently story-editing next year's all-new version of BEN 10. I also write the monthly conic book adventures of THE FANTASTIC FOUR and JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA, and the continuity insert back-up stories in AVENGERS CLASSIC. I've been a writer and/or editor for Marvel Comics, Milestone Media, DC Comics, Harvey Comics, Archie Comics, Valiant/Acclaim Comics and several other companies I've either forgotten about, or am ashamed to admit to. On this ever-growing (some might say "cancerous") site, you'll find; news and previews of my current and upcoming projects (including the animated versions of STATIC SHOCK, JUSTICE LEAGUE and TEEN TITANS); info about my old stuff; sample comic book scripts and proposals; the latest news about Milestone; plus tons of other trivia centering around my favorite topic of discussion. But enough talking about myself, what do you think about me? I'd love to get your feedback, so e-mail me any time. By the way, should you ever forget my e-mail address, I can always be reached here:
I'm the winner of the 2003 Humanitas Award for "Jimmy," a STATIC SHOCK script I co-wrote with Alan Burnett.
I was nominated for a Writers Guild Award for "Starcrossed," a JUSTICE LEAGUE episode I co-wrote with Rich Fogel and John Ridley.
STATIC SHOCK, the animated series I co-created was nominated for four Emmys,
I was personally nominated for Emmys twice, in 2003 and 2004, both courtesy of STATIC SHOCK nods for "Outstanding Special Class Program."
I've been nominated for Eisner Awards three times, all in 1994, for Best Editor, Best Writer and Best Series for my work at Milestone.

If you want to meet and talk to a few hundred Milestone fans and a heaping handful of Milestone creators, you're only one click away.
Six Degrees of St. Elsewhere
Here's a direct link to the single most searched for item on the original version of this site. In January 2002, I wrote an article applying comic book continuity rules to series television. The omnipresence of John Munch and St. Elsewhere led me to my Grand Unification Theory, which posits: "The last five minutes of St. Elsewhere is the only television show, ever. Everything else is a daydream."
Dwayne's Comic Book Credits
I've written a lot of comic books over the years, even I don't have a complete list anymore. However, this link will take you to a list of at least some of the titles I've worked on. If I missed any you know about, E-mail me. I plan to create a complete listing, including individual issues. Then maybe I can fill in my collection. While you're there, you can check out my highly random COVER GALLERY, featuring cover images from comic books I wrote and happened to have copies of near the scanner.
Dwayne's Comic Book Script Links
Since I get a lot of requests for this sort of thing, I've created a page of links to some of my comic book scripts. So if you're an artist looking for a practice script to work on, or a writer who wants to see what a plot or script looks like, you've come to the right place. I've also included some series proposals, if you're interested in that sort of thing.
More About Milestone
This Link will take you to a brief but informative article about the origins of Milestone, excerpted from the DC Comics 60th anniversary coffee table book. I've also included some pictures from the article.
This is a big page of links to interviews with me. Many of the links are outdated. I don't know if I'm going to clean up and keep this section, or just move the whole thing into the news section as individual entries.
E-mail me with your questions and comments.
