he answered everyone of my questions except two which maade me feel somewhat special. one was an impossibility i realized and the other was asking about the future which he never liked.

Dry humour means that you have a very subtle sense of humour. You find things amusing that a lot of people don't. When you tell a joke, or when you find something funny, you generally don't show a lot of dramatic outward signs that you think it's funny. Whether that's good or bad is in the opinion of the person saying it. (Like say a really good joke or punch back but not smile or look smug or laugh at it) An artist should be modest but yet confident in their work and themselves, but not too confident that they become stuck up attention seeking pricks.
