He has a brand-new ongoing series in May.
So, this was Dwayne's last post in the forum... im still not sure what to feel knowing his last message here was directed to me. I know its silly, but i felt i just had to go read that new Static series (even if i provably would have anyway), like it was the last thing Dwayne said to me and i owe him that much. So yeah... finally the day came, Static Shock #1 came out and i readed it. Man its great to see Static back, its really sad Dwayne wont be writting it, but at least we have Static back. Its cool how now he will have a more active role in the DC Universe, i really hope he gets to do great things alongside Superman and other great heroes.
In a way, the reboot is sad, because it makes me think its leading us into a new generation of the DC Universe, but its a generation that never seen Dwayne. But in other way... i see Static coming back, and new heroes like Batwing, or Cyborg becoming one of the main members of the Justice League, and i notice Dwayne's dream is slowly coming true. The racial barriers in comics are breaking out, even in Marvel, now Spiderman is half black and half hispanic... just wow. Im not black and i dont live in a country where racial discrimination is even an issue, but i understand what he fighted for, and why. And it makes me feel happy for him that his dream is being realised even after his death. I want to thank everyone in DC and Marvel comics who keeps fighting to break the racial barriers in comics, im sure Dwayne appreciate it.
