Pro-bending is going to be the quidditch of Avatar. It doesn't really excite me and I think its going to take up too much time. In HP, there was a quiddich tournament in everybook, and it just got boring. I hope this isn't going to be a major plot point.

Everything else in the series is PERFECT, though. The steampunk style works really well.

It never went boring for me. It is always so much fun.

Of course in Ben 10 the characterization isn't too deep, it isn't like the characters were scarred teens with a bad past, maybe Kevin but they won't rely on it, it's very similar to James Bond or Batman, they don't change every episode but they don't have too, the conflict there in does. For example, they didn't need to change in Ben 10,000 Returns, but the team learned about cross time and the guest characters Ben 10,000, Eon and Paradox probably showed the most change. This goes for a number of Ben 10 episodes. It's Not So Easy Being Gwen illuminates Gwen, not trying to radically change her, but to show her daily life and a struggle to keep her life together.

Darn it, dude. I know that was an old post, but wow. Pretty much all the reasons and points you have to defend Ben 10, goes for Avatar aswell.
No casualties in Season 3?

How come millions and millions of DNAliens with technology more advanced than galvan can't kill ANY of the good guys in the episode "War of the Worlds" again or even at the very least hurt them? Its because they're good guys and it makes fans happy to not see them die.

I saw the second episode as well,amazing stuff so far.
This has the potential for being better than the previous series...if only it had a Zuko,he was one of the main reasons I watched the original but Korra is pretty damn close to Zuko,she just doesn't have the "emo" side to her Zuko had...and I don't even want that,she's the perfect female character as she is.

I think she's more the female Avatar version of Sokka...
And I like the arena matches they integrated in the series

I said that because she gets angry easily and she is insubordinate.She feels much more like a earth or fire bender than a water bender.Am I the only one who thinks that?

I don't like comparing new characters as versions of older ones. They're their own character to me. She's got qualities from many others though. Sorta like Sokka's personality with some Zuko in her. But they're their own character. She's...well, Korra. That's it to it.

I say Korra is Korra. About the probending thing, yeah it's not boring and it wouldn't be if the matches are interesting.

I don't think its boring, I just hope that the main anti-bending arc doesn't take a backseat to it. In HP there were times when Voldemort was taking over the Ministry of Magic and Harry was playing quidditch instead of trying to stop him.

I haven't read HP but things happen as others do. You can't always win or you can't always be there. Bad things can happen while you're doing whatever it is you're doing.

I know. I never thought you were calling her a rip-off and maybe Ghostfresk wasn't either. I'm just not the guy to compare. I see a lot of similarities of course.
