I am not religious nor scientific. (Though I am more in favor of science) I am a philosopher. I believe god is an in-understandable entity which is beyond all human comprehension. I also believe almost everything about religion is wrong. You do not go to an afterlife, your consciousness just becomes some other form of energy. Good and evil are just factors of the human mind and do not mean anything in the grand scheme but they do work well for keeping social order, yada, yada, you can see my speils of this sort in the religion thread in community or the camp blood thread in media and other ones.

atualy yes. my relgionis kind of strict and doenst really have any portways for any creativity. both past and future have been decided (supposedely) and the grand creation of the universe is actually, kinda boring compared to stuff in mythology. in fact me and two of my friends were just discussing the big bang today.

I believe that the universe is random in some way. I believe that potentially David Bohm's explicate and inplicate theory is correct. Or that maybe human perception only extends so far. Like for example, if a tree falls in the forrest and no one is there to hear, it didn't fall in the first place because it was not perceived. It didn't even exist until someone found it. The universe forms and dis-forms as humans view it. Human senses are a formalizing apparatus. Everything is chaos until we perceive it in which time its given order. If that makes any sense.

sorta does. things like that make my head spin. i think i know what you mean though. back before my family moved to where we are now ia tree fell in our backyard. no one knew it had even fallen over, noone saw the lightning that snapped it so therefore the tree was still upright until the morning we foud out it had fallen over.

Yeah. Have you ever heard of the Quantum Zeno Effect? Its when you view an unstable particle and measure its status frequently enough you will never witness it decay. Thats also evidence which makes me think human perception is a curved fish bowl.

Also what makes me think that god is incomprehensible or everything is random is that if you think hard enough about existence things start to not make sense any more. Everything is just so complex and infinite, there's no way religion, science, or any other faculty of human belief will find definitive truth. Maybe close to it but not THE truth. This is only because we are trapped in our limited human understanding because our brains have been limited by evolution. This is very sad but likely.

probby so. while i'm open to nything i refuse to believe i evoled from a monkey. maybe a less smarter ding dong clock but not a monkey. i have also experienced what u hav said many times before in which i think about the iinfinite possiblites of life and end up questioning myself and getting confused.

Exactly.

We didn't evolve from a monkey.....well not exactly. We were a monkey then something happened to that monkey which caused it to develop reason and walk up right and do all the stuff humans do. Were still no sure exactly how monkey's just suddenly evolved into humans so some other life form may have something to do with it.

another error in human judegment? the way i see it if we could evole from monkeys like that why aren't any other animals like dogs, or cats, or mice oranything thinking why dot i walkn on my hind legs? why dont i build a city? why dont i become preseident of a nation?
