Not really, would a social group be something like a sports team, or a club? Because there aren't to many stereotypes there.

What *clubs* are there? What the hell? I don't think he means anything like that at all, I think he means like classes, minorities, types of people, etc. That's where stereotypes are usually attached to.
I want to be.... Much than more.

I guess debating what stereotypes really mean is a valid and on-topic discussion....but do we really need to do this?I guess everybody has his own understanding on how people are categorized and his own word for it.

Maybe in a way I act sometimes like that and some of my clothes are hipster-ish (I even listen to indie bands)....but calling me a hipster would be an overstatement.

But like a friend of mine once told me: "What the hell are you?Rocker?Punker?Metalhead?Hipster?Rapper? You seem to be a little of everything."

My views have been called "hipster" more than once and I can't really argue (though it's not even accurate). I'm not actually one but I just happen to be really different the way I see things.

Scouts are stereotyped as being total goody goodies, and sports players, or "jocks" are thought to be immature, and look like refrigerators, especially with football and hockey players. Basketball players are stereotyped as being freakishly tall. Track runners and soccer players are thought to be scrawny wimps.

I'm a geek and proud of it! Sure people laugh at me sometimes, and insult me, but I use sarcasm to throw it in their faces, so I'm good.
I've survived Y2K, the Twilight Saga, and Justin Bieber. 2012, bring it on!

It was a little confusing at first and not the most exciting topic...Also, activity has been a little lower than usual.
