Welcome to the Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Alien Force Questions and Answers thread. Here's the place where you can ask me questions about the shows. Many questions have already been asked and answered here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1448 so search that thread first, if you can.
To help me keep things running more smoothly here than they did on the old thread, I'm establishing some rules. As long as everybody follows them, I'll keep showing up here and answering whatever I can.
1. Only questions about Ben 10: Alien Force, and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien belong in this thread. In other words, I only answer questions about shows I actually worked on, so no Ben 10: Classic, Ben 10: Live Action, or Ben 10: Video Game questions here. If you start a new topic, I'm sure someone in our community will know the answer and be glad to help you out. If I happen to know the answer, I might answer it in a separate thread, but all off-topic questions posted in this thread will be ignored, and the posts may be deleted. Remember that all other Ben 10 talk goes in the Ben Ten Forum http://dwaynemcduffie.com.lamphost.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=15.
2. Only Dwayne McDuffie may answer questions in this thread. If you're not Dwayne McDuffie, and you know the answer to a question, I appreciate it, but the only permissible way to help me in this thread is to find an answer from me from either earlier in this thread, or elsewhere on my site, and quote it here. Ideally, it will work something like this.
Someone asks, "How can I answer a question to Dwayne on this thread if I'm not Dwayne?"
And you post: "Oh! Dwayne answered that question earlier in this thread, here's a quote":
"the only permissible way to help me in this thread is to find an answer from me from either earlier in this thread, or elsewhere on my site, and quote it here."
If you answer a question in this thread in any other manner, I will delete your answer, even if it's correct.
3. No "statistical" questions. I'm no longer answering species or homeworld questions. If that information is important, we'll say it on the show, if we don't say it on the show, we probably haven't bothered to make it up yet, or we're withholding it for story reasons. This also encompasses "How fast," "how strong," "how many," and similar questions. If you're not sure, go ahead and ask, I'll probably just skip them, though. Suggestion: these kinds of questions make great threads of their own, where you guys can work/argue out the details.
4. No more than three questions at a time. That way, I'm more likely to answer them, as it's less overwhelming, and they all fit in the window without me having to scroll back and forth. Don't try and get around it with "a" and "b" questions, either. If you ask more than three, I'll either skip everything after question three, or on a bad day, I may skip the whole set. You may ask as many sets of three questions as you want, but I'm capricious, and if you overdo it, I might still skip the later ones.
5. Keep the cross talk under control. Occasionally a side discussion will happen, but I strongly suggest you move them to a new thread as quickly as possible. When things get cluttered here, I'l going to delete things until they're under control.
6. Sometimes I won't answer a perfectly reasonable question. Maybe it's because I don't want to give away surprises from upcoming shows. Maybe the answer's on my laptop and I'm too lazy to go look it up. Maybe I don't know the answer. Maybe I don't understand the question. In any case, sometimes I'll skip a question, or an entire set of questions. Feel free to ask me again, I may change my mind, but probably not. Demanding answers won't help, I guarantee it.
7. I may ignore any of these rules, or amend them whenever I feel like it. It's called a "ret-con." I like 'em.

Oh, I probably won't comment on an upcoming show either ("Will so-and so character appear?") but that's probably worth a shot, sometimes I like to tease.
