Articles and Columns
Welcome to the archives of my three dead web columns, several book introductions and other prose pieces that don't quite fit anywhere else. Book Introductions Brought To You By To Be Continued Edgewise
Book Introductions I've been promising to post these for a couple of years now and I'm finally coming through. Occasionally I've been asked to write introductions for collections of comic book stories. Here are the ones I can find digital copies of: "Now It Can Be Told!" is my introduction to Marvel Comics two-volume two-volume CAPTAIN AMERICA hardcover compilation. Not only was my credit accidentally left off the book but I didn't even get a nod on the very lengthy thaank you page. Grumble gripe. "History? Our Story Too!" is the introduction I wrote for Alex Simmons BLACKJACK: BLOOD AND HONOR compilation. "Catching Lightning in a Bottle" is both an introduction to the STATIC SHOCK: TRIAL BY FIRE compiulation, it also sort of serves as a FAQ about the origins of the chracter. "Get On The Good Foot" is my introduction to Jim Krueger's second FOOTSOLDIERS trade collection.
BROUGHT TO YOU BY..., a weekly opinion column on the comic book industry, was my second column for Psycomic.com. This one ended when Psycomic dot-bomed for a second time. It probably wasn't my fault.
