Just a reminder, the second season finale of Ben 10: Alien Force airs this Friday, March 27 at 9:00 PM on Cartoon Network.

It’s huge.

BEN 10: EVOLUTIONS

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

This morning at their upfronts, Cartoon Network announced my new project, which is sort of my old project:

Ben 10: Evolutions (working title): An all-new animated series follows 16-year-old Ben Tennyson as his secret identity has been revealed to the world and he's now an international mega-star super hero, loved by kids the world over but distrusted by many adults. Armed with a mysterious new Omnitrix, Ben will see action in places he's never been. From Cartoon Network Studios, Glen Murakami (Teen Titans) serves as supervising producer and Dwayne McDuffie serves as story editor.

Ben’s story continues directly from the events of the ALIEN FORCE season three series finale. More when I’m allowed to talk about it.

Death, destruction and betrayal!

The fallout from FINAL CRISIS leaves the Justice League of America on the brink of dissolution. Black Canary faces her greatest test as she tries to hold her devastated team together. Will those who remain be enough to save the world?
Final Crisis takes its toll on the JLA as two members form a new League.

Dwayne again. Two members don’t form a new team in this issue, I’m not sure where that came from. Oon the other hand, it is a turning point issue of JLA.

Ben 10: Alien Force Returns

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009

We’re back to finish our second season in a big way. It’s Ben 10 Week on Cartoon Network, featuring three new episodes, including the season finale.

WARNING SPOILERS IN THE BLOCK QUOTE:

Cartoon Network presents an entire action-packed week of BEN 10 March 23-27. Experience favorite BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE episodes every day after school with a two-hour “Best of BEN 10″ block from 3-5 p.m. (ET, PT).

On Monday, March 23 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT), a special enhanced presentation of the live-action movie, BEN 10: RACE AGAINST TIME will reveal fun trivia and interesting facts about BEN 10. On Tuesday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 24, Cartoon Network premieres brand new episodes of Ben 10 Alien Force. During Tuesday’s episode, “Birds of a Feather,” Ben and company help Simian, the prince of the arachna-chimps, return to power.

On Wednesday, Ben must return a baby monster to its parents before the DNAliens find it in “Unearthed.” BEN 10 Week culminates in a special one-hour season finale, “War of the Worlds,” on Friday March 27 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT) when Ben and his team travel to the HighBreed home world. Can they stop them once and for all?

I don’t know why they put episode spoilers in the press release, but there you go. Batman: Brave and the Bold’s Diedrich Bader guest stars in “Birds of a Feather.” There are a couple of key pieces to the HighBreed story line in “Unearthed.” “War of the Worlds” is the biggest show we’ve ever done, it concludes the two-season HighBreed arc, explains a number of mysteries, and includes more guest stars than I believed possible when I sat down to write it.
